Beadles in the American Civil War

Soldiers are listed alphabetically by first name and are divided into Confederate and Union Organizations. Following the soldier’s name is his rank. On the second line, the unit designation(s) are noted. The remaining lines list items such as residence of soldier, date and cause of death, and widow’s or mother’s name.

I have identified extended family groups for many of those listed here. I will be adding hotlinks between the soldiers and their family groups as I get time.

Pension files for those listed here may be obtained for a fee from the National Archives and Records Administration.
