In 1850, Thomas W. BEADLE and Sarah A. (presumed to be his wife), and were living in Prince William County, VA with four children, presumable their own [Ref. 1]. Thomas' occupation was listed as "tenant".

By 1870, Thomas was living in Prairie Twp, Montgomery Co, MO, P.O. Danville [Ref. 2], with Milton, Charlotte, and Laura. The large gaps in age between James and Milton and Charlotte and Laura suggest the possibility that Sarah might have died and that Thomas might have remarried.

Marriage records of Montgomery Co, MO, show that Thomas married a widow named Nancy LEAPED in 1871 [Ref. 3]. The IGI suggests that Thomas and Nancy had two children born in the 1870s [Ref. 4].
